You are more than what you have or don’t have. God looks beyond your weaknesses and seeks to optimize your strengths because He can help you turn your weaknesses into opportunities. He will clothe you with grace and humility. He sees you. When God sees you He sees His image. (Genesis 1:26-28) He sees who He created you to be. Not the flawed you that you and others see. The you that you and others have yet to see. The real you is the you that God pre-ordained and set apart for His glory. You just have to step out of doubt, other people’s opinions, feelings of inadequacy, defeat, shame and unworthiness and allow the you God created to come from behind the curtain and be great.
Poor or rich, your value is not predicated on how much money you have. In Kingdom economics the investment you make into the health of your soul is the wealthiest most profitable investment you will ever make. You can be rich and depressed. You can be poor and depressed. Financial status versus your soul condition. Rich or Poor (though we all want a measure of financial wealth no doubt), we all ultimately want joy, peace, and love and to be at peace with our Creator. Romans 14:17, “For the Kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.” We want people to value us for us not based on whether we are rich or poor, or based on what we can or cannot do for them.
So I encourage you to affirm someone today that may be better off than you and affirm another person that may not be as financially, spiritually, emotionally, or mentally well off as you. Everybody has a heart and shared need to feel valued as just a person. Not a title, not a status…a person. Then I want you to affirm yourself. Get in front of that mirror and start encouraging yourself. I want to be the first to tell you today if you haven’t been told already that you are special. You make the world different. You add meaning to the life we share together in this earth. You have more than potential on the inside of you. You are the created image of God which means you have creative power. You are beautiful. You are handsome. You are loved. You are more than what you have or don’t have. You are More…
