How To Take Care Of Your Soul-Tip #4

Proverbs 4:25 advises, " Let your eyes look straight ahead , fix your gaze directly before you." Keep focused, don't get distracted by negativity or evil things that do nothing for the goodness and prosperity of your soul. Protect what you gaze your eyes on. Be careful of what you allow your eyes to see and how long you keep eye on it. Matthew 6:22-23, "The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness?" Odd to call light darkness on that last question in this scripture. What does that mean? How could light and darkness be the same? I would say there are very dark things in this world that portray light, that you think are true and worthy of your attention. But you want to have the light, the truth and enlightenment of Jesus not the false light of satan and his demonic agenda. True light, or true sight is seeing things through the perspective of faith, hope, love, and holy scripture. . Demonic light sees through the eyes of hate, destruction, sickness, poverty and anything contrary to the Word of God. The question on that scripture I believe is asking if the light you see is darkness, how deceived in darkness are you? Light and darkness cannot coexist at the same time. Day and night are a good example of that. So let's take care of our souls by protecting what we fix our eyes on, what or who we idolize, what we read and view even on TV and other forms of media. If all you see is dark things you will begin to see and believe dark things. But if you see light, light will shine through you in all you do. Protect your eyes protect your perspective. Protect your soul.
