Contend For The Faith

Contend for the faith. What does that mean and how do we do it? It means to do all you can to walk uprightly before the Lord. It means with all your might to uphold and declare and assert the Word and principles of God in your life. In times of uncertainty we must be careful to not let down our guard. To contend for something means you have to fight for it because you will have resistance to whatever it is your contending for. Faith and righteousness is something you never want to lose. Satan is like a roaring lion seeking whom He may devour. (1 Peter 5:8) We cannot think we are exempt from the enemy’s snares and that we are not subject to fall. So what do we do? Contend for the faith. Fight for what you believe and for what you stand for. But you say “I messed up Lord”. God’s says Contend. Jude verse 20 says "But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.”

Build yourself up in faith and pray in the holy spirit. Why? Because the spirit prays the perfect prayers and utters words that cannot be spoken, The spirit knows the mind of Christ and makes intercession for us when we struggle and don’t know what to pray and often may not know what it is we are struggling with. So fight for your faith by staying in the Word and praying in the spirit always and trust that God is able to help keep your from falling. Trust the building, the refining, and the rebuilding, the shaping and the reshaping. Jude verse 24, To Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— 25 to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen..." Contend for the Faith because Jesus, the Holy Spirit and a host of heavens angels are contending for you...
