The Breath Given and The Breath We Share

God breathes into your nostrils every single day if you are reading this blog. We are privileged with the gift of the breath of life. Every few secs of every day there are new born babies taking their first breath and there are people of all ages taking their last breath. There is something precious and sacred about the first and the last breath. There is something also precious about all the breathes in between the first and the last. A baby being born is a miracle, God designed it so that when born healthy; that baby’s mind and lungs recognize without anyone telling it that it is time to breath. It is your time to live. That baby 9 months fresh out of heaven while safely covered and transported through its mother’s womb. How sacred is that? Scripture says God knows us before we entered our mothers womb (Jeremiah 1:5). He is well acquainted with us long before He sends us. Psalm 139:16, “You saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

Then there is the last breath just as sacred- 2 Corinthians 5:8, We are confident I say, and would prefer to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. We don’t re-enter heaven through our mothers wombs again, We instantly are in the presence of God. A baby has no memory of it’s first breath and someone dying cannot tell you about their last breath. Just as sacred though is the breath you and I breathe each and every day. The air and breathe that we all as living human beings depend on- we share together. Yes we share the same breathe. We breathe the same air. Our breath. The breath of life God gave us is sacred to Him. We are His creation. He has purpose for every breathe that you take between the first and the last. Acts 17:28, “For in Him we live and we move and have our being. “As some of your own poets say, we are His offspring.” God is Creator and He is Father. Breath is sacred because breath is time. What will you do with it? What will you do with the breath you share and the breath that was given? Time is essential and it is fragile. Let your life reflect the sacred gift and purpose that it is. Above all worship God with it. #breath #life #faith #love #God #Jesus #birth #death #time #purpose #hope #motivationalspeakers #blogs #bloggers #podcast #heaven #earth #christian #church #community #counseling #living #youmatter #soulmatters #soulcare
